Chehaw State Park

Chehaw State Park

Chehaw is gorgeous (as if you couldn’t tell from the pictures).  Tucked away back into the towering trees, it’s an awe-inspiring, peaceful place.  It does cost to get in, which is pretty much the only downside (for more information, visit Chehaw’s website).

If you’re a die-hard frisbee golf player (Georgians call it “Disc Golf”), you’ll love the course at Chehaw–yeah, imagine throwing a frisbee through all those trees–it’s incredible.

Gnats are pretty much a fixture for the entire southern part of Georgia, so bring bug spray–the gnats will drive you crazy–they don’t bite or anything, but they’ll annoy you to no end.
