We’re in Tulsa, O-K-L-A-H-O-M-A!

After driving till almost four in the morning through Kansas, we finally arrived in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

After being in Oklahoma the musical my senior year of high school, I half expected to see a bunch of “surrey[s] with the fringe on top” and “corn as high as an elephant’s eye.”

Instead, we found cars (cop cars in particular) and empty fields.

Our friend Kristen took us to downtown Tulsa today for brunch at Dilly Deli, and afterwords, we went for a light stroll.  You would never know we are originally from Colorado as we were both in Loki jackets (Carrie’s with the hood up) and both Kristen and her friend Joanna were in light jackets.

Get your kicks on Route 66!

Route 66!!!

Route 66 runs through Tulsa, OK; we definitely got our kicks. ; )

We were surprised at how dead downtown is.  Granted, when we were there, it was a Saturday, but still; it was almost ghost townish.
